He is passionate about strengthening communities through effective Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) interventions, with a strong focus on coordination, emergency response, public health, and community-driven development. Throughout his career, Hyelafiya has played a key role in the design, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of WASH programs in both emergency and recovery contexts. He has worked collaboratively with government bodies, humanitarian partners, donors, and local communities to deliver impactful and sustainable interventions.
